The SCT CL680
Card-Link acts like a disk drive, but uses PCMCIA cards
instead of floppy disks. The CL680 connects to the parallel printer port of any PC or compatible; may share a port with a printer by adding a mechanical switch box. |
The CL680.SYS device driver makes the CL680 look like a drive to the host PC. It will appear as the next available drive letter. The device driver sign-on line will display the drive letter selected. Thereafter, it's treated like a disk drive. Most all dos commands(such as COPY, DEL, DIR etc.) work on the CL680 the same as on floppy drives.
The card drive uses a unique combination of hardware and software to provide a link between a PC compatible parallel port and a PCMCIA memory card.
